Hillier Garden Centre, Liss 

 
Chris Rawlings is Manager of our Centre at Liss and has worked for Hillier for 15 years.

Before coming to Liss, Chris was Plant Area Manager at Hillier Botley and Hillier Braishfield and previously Section Leader at the Wholesale Nursery, having studied horticulture at Hadlow College, Kent.  

Chris is also a long-standing member of the Chelsea Flower Show team each year.

Cafe Maple was the first of the new look Hillier coffee shops.  It serves home cooked food to a very high standard, with a very reasonable price tag.  Cafe Manager, Sue Dawes, is a highly professional and creative chef.  Quality daily specials and home made soups are at the heart of the cafe Maple menu. 

There is always a warm welcome from Sue and all the staff.

Cafe Maple Opening Times:

Monday to Saturday - 9.00am - 4.30pm
Sunday - 10.00am - 4.00pm.

Hot food is available until one hour before closing.

Our resident experts are always on hand to answer all of your gardening questions - the themed displays in the plant area and around the garden centre are sure to inspire you into creating a masterpiece of your own.



Hillier Garden Centre at Liss has an illustrious past in the plant world and that tradition has been carried on through the years to the present day.  

The plant area is full to the brim with the highest quality plant material and the impact as you walk out can only be described as an oasis of colour.  You will find the unusual alongside the garden favourites, as we believe they are equally important in the garden.

Liss Garden Centre is located just above Petersfield, set in a beautiful area of Hampshire countryside. Thanks to the main A3 Road from Portsmouth to London, it's easy to reach. Take the Liss exit from the dual-carriageway on the B3006, then follow signs to Garden Centre.

As well as a garden centre Hillier have a tree production nursery at Liss. Although the two businesses are completely separate, the garden centre has a reputation for the supply of specimen trees to gardeners near and far. If you need some height and structure for your garden, Liss is the place to buy trees.                      

Don't be surprised if you are told there is a long lead-time before they can provide your tree. Trees can only be lifted at certain times of the year in the correct weather conditions. Plant Area Manager, Yvonne Gardner, and her staff are always on hand to advice and help you make a good choice for your garden.
